The Easter Vigil is the first service of Easter and marks the transition from the solemnity of Holy Saturday to the joy of Easter Sunday. This beautiful Service of Light, with renewal of Baptism vows and the First Communion of Easter, starts at 9pm, after darkness falls. The Easter candle, lit from a fire and brought into a darkened church, represents the resurrection of Christ.
