The community in Drax rallied round in July to raise money for the local church and dogs home Linbee with a traditional fete held at St Peter and St Paul's Church. The fete featured face-painting, hook-a-duck and a tombola, raffle, crafts, plants and refreshments were served too. A delicious cream tea and pints of locally brewed beer from Little Black Dog in Carlton. A total of £800 was raised for the church and £100 for Linbee Dogs Home.
