Lockington Railway Evenings
The famous Railway Evening in Lockington organised by Allen Ferguson
restarts again on Tuesday 23rd September.
It a wonderful relaxing evening
with great camaraderie and lots of new things to learn about our industrial and social heritage.
The members (well over 50 at the last meeting) are incredibly generous in their donations and book buying and a goodly amount of money each month is a very welcome donation to the church roof fund.
Everyone is very welcome - come along and try it

St Mary's Church, Lockington

St Mary's Church is set in the village of Lockington and was built by the Norman's in 1150, extended in the 14th Century and again in the 18th. It  is a Grade I listed building. Internally the modern is mixed with the old, with a beautiful stained glass window installed in 2010, which depicts the parable of the sower.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Andrea Parr 01430 810547 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Julie O’Hara 01904 699524 or contact
