St. Swithin, Sproatley

Welcome to St Swithin's Church, Sproatley. We would love you to join us at one of our services or other events.  We are a body of Christians who want all our visitors and our community to know the love of Jesus Christ.

Our church is normally open five days per week for private prayer and reflection, or just for you to look around (minimum 10am to 3pm, except Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Sundays after services), occasional mid-week services e.g weddings and funerals permitting. Please note however, the church is not currently open for private prayer due to ongoing structural repair work, commencing July 2025 and expected to last around three months.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Sproatley: St Swithin is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://dioceseofyork.org.uk/our-diocese/safeguarding/team/]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services
