Hull Youth for Christ came to visit our monthly coffee morning in February with some of the volunteers who work in their outreach projects. It was great to hear more about the work they do in schools, and with vulnerable mums to support the local community.  They had just finished their breakfast club where they served hundreds of pieces of toast and provide cereal and a hot drink for families in the Hessle area. They also shared how their holiday clubs and afterschool activities support families with practical help as well as sharing the gospel.  After loading up their car with donations, they worked out the Brough and Elloughton churches had given them enough cereal in one morning to keep the project going for a whole week. We were also able to give £200 in donations through our coffee, cake and raffle sales. If you would like to join us next time we meet monthly at 10am on the 1st Thursday of each month. In March we will be raffling Easter Eggs and always have activities for little ones to join in with too.
