The Church of St Michael and All Angels, Great Edstone, is the heart of this wonderful hilltop village overlooking much of the wide spaces of Ryedale. There are usually two services each month at St Michael's, but it's usually open by day and welcomes many hundreds of those who visit this lovely part of Yorkshire every year.

The life and conversion of slave captain turned Christian preacher and evangelist John Newton - writer of the hymn 'Amazing Grace' - played out by professional Oddments Theatre Company in Kirkbymoorside's beautiful historic parish church.
