St Lawrence Church Great Waldingfield and friends invite you to a very special Heritage Weekend. Across the weekend we will be exploring and celebrating the history of our community, our church and our very special reredos – the subject of a current restoration project thanks to funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and national lottery players.

The Heritage Weekend runs from Saturday 25 October (1100-1600) to Sunday 26 October (1200-1600) at St Lawrence Church, Great Waldingfield. Attractions include:

A village history EXHIBITION curated by Gt Waldingfield History Group

Heritage CRAFT Activities and GAMES for the young and young at heart

REFRESHMENTS in aid of St Lawrence’s Church

And the chance to FIND OUT MORE about the Reredos Restoration Project and the historic significance of this celebrated feature of our village church.

A wide-ranging programme of talks, tours, storytelling, living history and heritage craft is also planned. The weekend will be opened by a special talk from David Carrington of Skillington Workshop who are undertaking the restoration of the church’s reredos, and end with a joyful concert from early music specialists, Hexachordia.
