'Joint meeting of the Communities and Parishes of Middle Esk Moor' at Egton Manor

Occurring
Monday 28 April 2025 Monday at for 3 hours, 30 mins
Venue
Location varies for each meeting
Address
, United Kingdom

At this special meeting we’ll build on all the energy we’ve generated and hard work we’ve put in across Middle Esk Moor over the two years. Based on our ongoing discussions and feedback, we’ll continue to develop our new Benefice teams focussed on Pastoral Care, Ministry, Sustainability and Funding/Community Engagement.

Each of our teams, including people from across our villages, are beginning to take the load off our four parochial church councils (PCCs) by working collaboratively on common priorities.

All are welcome to come along. Food and refreshments will be available from 5.30 pm. It would be helpful, for catering, if you could let Reverend Anthony know if you're coming. Please text 07484735284 or email [email protected].

Meetings held every three months.

St Mary's Goathland

Our benefice, Middle Esk Moor, was created in 2000 and comprises the parishes of Glaisdale with Lealholm, Egton, Grosmont and Goathland. Our churches are set in the spectacular countryside of the moors and dales of the North York Moors National Park. They can be reached via the A171 Middlesbrough to Whitby road, or the A169 Whitby to Pickering road.

Safeguarding

Our Benefice (comprising the parishes of Glaisdale and Lealholm, Egton, Grosmont and Goathland) is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSOs.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact one of our PSOs, via the 'Safeguarding in our Benefice' page at the link below.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
