Layham, St Andrew

St Andrew's Church serves the village of Layham, situated in Lower Layham, and is part of the Benefice that also includes St Mary's Hadleigh and All Saints' Shelley. The church community is small but welcoming and vibrant; there are services on at least 3 (and often 4) Sundays every month, to which all are very welcome. There are also regular events, including an annual Plant Sale, and occasional concerts and exhibitions. 'Bug Club' for children and families meets on the first Sunday of the month in the churchyard, exploring the beauty and wonder of God's creation.

While there is no direct vehicle access from Upper Layham, pedestrians/cyclists travelling from Upper Layham can use the footbridge by Layham Mill to cross the River Brett, and follow the path and lane leading to the Village Hall, the Church and the Queen's Head Inn.  The easiest vehicle access between Upper and Lower Layham is via Hadleigh.

The church is currently open all day, every day, for visitors and private prayer.
