Exciting Times!

We’re about to begin works at St Cuthbert’s to upgrade the church's facilities.

This includes provision of improved heating, additional toilets within the church and essential repairs including to windows and the roof.

These changes begin the transformation of the building to include a large space for use by groups and members of the local community in addition to the church area.

Works are due to commence on 16th June and will last approximately 6 months with the aim to re-open for Christmas.

So, when you see scaffolding and builders and equipment this is what it’s all about.

We’ve been waiting a long time for this to happen, so we’re really excited about it all!

There’s still fundraising to be done to complete the additional work which will make the building truly accessible to everyone.

The works will be undertaken by Emery’s and managed by our architects Connolly Wellingham.

While the church is not available to use, Sunday services will take place at 10.30am in the Crypt – using the Sandringham Road entrance.

Everyone is welcome!
