After several months and some unexpected delays, the work on reordering the church is beginning to show progress!
The scaffolding to reach the ceiling (30 metres high) took two weeks to be offloaded from the delivery lorry and erected into place. So while the work on installing the new heating and lighting is well underway - we won't be able to see any of it until the scaffolding comes down.
What we can see though are the new toilets - having loos with heating which are on the same level as the church and new community space is going to make such a difference to everyone who uses the building.
Unfortunately we're not going to be able to use the church for our Christmas services as we had hoped, so our Midnight Mass will be taking place in the Crypt (church hall) using the entrance off Sandringham Road - or the level entrance from Sandy Park Road. You'd be very welcome to join us!
