Parham, St Mary the Virgin

Welcome to the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Parham! We hold two services a month, Holy Communion and Morning or Evening Prayer, to which we warmly invite you to share in our worship and fellowship. On the "News" section on this page, you will find the schedule of services for this month.  Or if you would like a quiet place for contemplation, the church is open 24/7 throughout the year, just walk in and enjoy the beauty and peace of a building where people have worshipped God for many centuries.

Our church is one of seven churches in the Orebeck Benefice; two services are held every Sunday among the different churches of the Benefice, so you can always find a place to worship and enjoy fellowship on Sundays when Parham does not have a service. Check out the website of the Orebeck Benefice - www.orebeck.org - for details and for an introduction to our rector, Rev. Ann Kember, and to read her monthly newsletter.

Our parish of Parham is firmly committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Safeguarding Officer. Our Diocese of St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer who advises our parish Safeguarding Officer. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact the parish Safeguarding Officer ([email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, Karen Galloway (07785 621319 or [email protected]). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority's children or adult social care services. Further information can be found on the diocesan website, Promoting a Safer Church - Diocese of St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

We look forward to seeing you at our church!
