'Open the Book' has been running in this parish for some years. A team of volunteers, drawn from members of Somersham & Flowton parish churches and Somersham Baptist church visit our local primary school each week during term time and lead an assembly which includes a reading of a Bible story. During the current pandemic we are unable to visit the school. Instead, readings are being recorded and posted onto the Facebook pages of Somersham Baptist Church and FOSS (Friends of Somersham School). The school staff are also showing these recordings to the children during school time. This will continue at least until we are able, once again, to go into the school.
