Crockham Hill and Westerham
The Benefice of Crockham Hill and Westerham was created in July 2024. We are a warm and welcoming community across two parishes in West Kent, seeking to serve Christ, community and the wider world.
Whoever you are, wherever you live, whatever church (if any) you consider ‘yours’, whatever life is like for you and however you experience yourself; regardless of money, status, (dis)ability or anything else, you are welcome at any and every service in the Benefice. We're here for the whole community, and absolutely everyone is very welcome to come to one of our services, even if you've never been to church before.
Our worship is varied, from traditional Book of Common Prayer services to informal worship with modern music, and whether you're a lifelong Christian or wondering about faith for the first time, we hope that you will discover a spiritual home among us.
Are you wondering if God is calling?
A lot of people are searching for answers at the moment, and we keep hearing of people who have felt called, or nudged, or inspired, to explore the Christian faith. But it can be scary, going through those doors for the first time when you don't know what to expect on the other side.
If you would like to speak to somebody about coming to church, and the Christian faith, please email the office: [email protected] to arrange a call or a coffee, so that we can answer any questions you may have. We're also very happy to arrange for somebody to meet you outside the church on your first visit, and/or to meet outside worship times to show you the church and talk you through what you can expect to happen at a service.
Our main Sunday services are at 10.30 at St Mary the Virgin, Westerham and 10.00 at Holy Trinity, Crockham Hill, and we have Choral Evensong on the 1st Sunday most months in Westerham.
As a new benefice, these pages are works in progress so you might not find the information that you're seeking. Please contact the benefice office to make an enquiry.
We are Recruiting
We are currently seeking a part time stipendiary Associate Minister to join the Ministry Team at this exciting period in the life of the new benefice. This is a new post. You will work across the two parishes, being a key member of the team as we shape the vision, sense of identity and ministry of the new Benefice and seek to grow in the image of Christ together. More details of the vacancy can be found on the Diocesan website.
