The organ builder was James Jepson Binns. The instrument was built in 1888 - originally installed at St Mark Church, Woodhouse, Leeds, and re-built at Eye in 2014/15 by E. J. Johnson and Son (Cambridge) Ltd. This fine instrument features three manuals and a pedalboard, along with a movable Nave console. Our Director of Music is Tim Patient FRCO.In addition to the accompaniment at regular services, it hosts visiting organists from home and abroad, to perform recitals. The 'recital season' typically takes place during the summer months and usually occurs on Saturday afternoons or early evenings. There is normally no charge for admission, but there is a retiring collection to help ensure that recitals can continue for years to come. Recitals are followed by refreshments, including wine!
The choir normally practises each Thursday evening (may vary occasionally for special events/services)New members are always welcome. Please contact our Director of Music, Tim Patient, for details: email tim.patient@gmail.com, or have a word with him after the main Sunday morning service.
