Welcome to St John’s & St Edmund’s This Summer

You’re warmly invited to visit St John’s Church and St Edmund’s Church this summer and enjoy a peaceful place of welcome, reflection, and discovery.

At St John’s Church, you can:

* Explore the beautiful historic church and discover the saints depicted in the stunning stained glass windows.
* Light a candle for a loved one or as a quiet moment of prayer.
* Enjoy our children’s area, with activities to help young visitors explore the church in a fun and engaging way.
* Take time to sit, reflect, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

St John’s Church is open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a local resident, a visitor to Felixstowe, or simply looking for a quiet place to pause, we’d love to see you this summer.

Messy Church at St John’s

Messy Church is a fun, welcoming and creative way for children, families and people of all ages to explore the Christian faith together.

Held on the first Wednesday of every month at St John’s Church, each session follows a different Bible story or theme through a variety of hands-on activities, creative crafts, games, storytelling and a short time of worship. It’s a relaxed and informal way to discover God’s love while enjoying time together as a community.

Every activity is completely free, including all craft materials, and we finish each session by sharing a delicious meal together around the table.

Messy Church is especially aimed at children, young people and their families, but everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a regular churchgoer, new to faith, or simply looking for a fun and friendly activity, you’ll receive a warm welcome.

Come along, get a little messy, make new friends, explore the Bible, and enjoy great food together—we’d love to see you!
