Maundy Thursday takes its name from the Latin word ‘mandatum’ meaning commandment. During the last supper, which we commemorate tonight, Jesus told his disciples: “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.” (John 13 v 34 –NRSV).

Christ is risen! Celebrate Jesus’s resurrection at our Easter united benefice eucharist. Hear words of hope, prayers of thanksgiving and sing hymns of praise, on this glorious day in the church’s year.
