Our Christingle service this year was led by Kevin (Benefice Lay Elder). It was lovely to see all the children and adults really enjoy themselves singing the special Christingle song and other well-known songs, listen and watch in wonderment as Kevin explained how the different symbals of the Orange (the Earth) with a Red ribbon round (Christ's blood and Love), Sweets/Fruits (God's Creation and Seasons) and the Candle in the centre (Light of Christ in the World) and as he sprinkled Iron fillings over the lit candle, it suddenly increased in light as it sparkled and crackled. Then the highlight of the children and adults stood in the Aisle and had their Christingle candles lit. A wonderful sight to behold.
