A service of hymns, prayers, readings and a reflection led by members of the Benefice Lay Team. Followed by refreshments. (This service does not include Hoy Communion.) In October, the service to celebrate and give thanks for the harvest will be followed by a ploughman's lunch in the church. Service at 10am. Lunch from 12 noon. Tickets are £5 per person to include a ham or cheese ploughman's and a dessert. Cutlery, crockery, glasses and hot drinks provided. Please bring your own drinks. As we prepare for Christmas, this service reminds us that Jesus is the light of the world. The Christingle Service is an event promoted by the Children's Society. Money raised at this service and via the collection boxes go straight towards the work they do with vulnerable and under-privileged children.
