CHRISTINGLE SERVICE

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Peters Church Monks Eleigh
Address
Church Hill Monks Eleigh Ipwich, IP7 7LG, United Kingdom

For the 1st Sunday in Advent we will be having our Christingle Service. This is a joyful celebration bringing our families and communities together to share the light of Jesus and spread the message of hope.
Christingle mean's Christ's light. During the Service we will all have an opportunity to make a Christingle which is made with an orange, a candle. a red ribbon and 4 sticks with fruit and sweets. When these have been made, we dim the Church lights and stand around in a circle and light our Christingles. The service ends with singing an uplifting song full of hope which is particularly relevant for the start of Advent and the message brought by the Angel to Jesus' mother, Mary.

Chelsworth, All Saints

All Saints Church Chelsworth is a beautiful Grade 1 listed church building in the heart of the village. It is open each day during daylight hours and features many interesting features, including a 'Doom' painting and a very old font.
