Our Building
Fragments only of medieval glass in the north asile west window. There are Victorian stained glass windows by H. Hughes , Wrad & Hughes, an Lavers, Barraud and Westlake, as well as colourful Victorian stained glass in the north aisle west window by a glass maker from the neighbouring village of Yoxford.
Listed Grade 1 for medieval remains including twin canopied niches on either sied of the chancel arch retaining much carving and colouring, a highly decorated single hammerbeam nave ceiling, and medieval brasses. A sensitive design by E C Hakewill for the rebuilding of the chancel, together with his beautiful designs for the carved pew ends does much to enhance a sense of the numinous.

Help for Visitors
The rich heritage and history of the church and its links with the nearby Sibton Abbey Ruin makes for interesting guided tours by arrangement (contact the Friends' Secretary: [email protected]).
The church guide book (on sale, price £2.50) is a rich source of information about the church. The information is drawn from detailed research by local historians and in particular Roy Tricker's research written up in 1997, soon after the church was saved from possible closure.
Refreshments are served at all community events and some church services.
Daily: Should you visit and find it closed, phone contacts of key holders can be found on a noticeboard in the porch.
All God's creatures are welcome. We house bats, but are not so keen on mice!
