We're Open for Public Worship

We are re-opening our church for public worship this Sunday (30th August) at 11.15am

Although we are now allowed to worship again as congregations, this doesn’t mean that everyone necessarily will do so. There will almost certainly be some people who for various reasons are not ready to return to regular Sunday worship and it must be absolutely understood that there is no pressure whatever to do anything you feel wouldn’t be right for you or others.

The initial services will be very different in content as there will be no singing, no touching, and we shall all be sitting 2 meters apart. Chairs at St Michael’s have been positioned to allow for this. Using hand sanitiser (provided) and wearing face coverings is mandatory. We shall not be using any books or orders of service so the services will be rather quieter and somewhat shorter than we are used to.

In all of this it’s important to remember why we are there - together drawing near to God, celebrating God’s love for us and re-affirming our task to love and serve God’s world. Let’s let that be enough for now as we learn new ways of worshipping - and as we enjoy being together with God and each other again!
