Werrington Park gardens (PL15 8TR) are open on Sunday 11th May 2-4.30pm. Entry is £10, to include a cream tea.

The gardens date back to the 1700s, and the more formal gardens close to the house will be open, teas served in the nearby cobbled yard.

The Chinese Rhododendron Garden was planted in the early 1900s, the plants mostly sown by seed sent back from the Himalayas by two of the foremost botanical explorers of their day.

Come and learn more about the gardens, and enjoy their beauty, all to support Werrington Church.

With grateful thanks to the Williams family.
