May News from St Hugh's

Coronation Bank Holiday dawned wet … and just got wetter! Undeterred, Liskeard and Callington Young Farmers Clubs brought tractors and floats to join classic vehicles, riders and more in a carnival parade around Quethiock. Prize rosettes were awarded (Rev. Li was chief judge), Saltash Town Band played, Quethiock School PFA sold light refreshments, the Parish Hall Bar was open, and there was much consumption of burgers and sausages, not to mention posh cake. A FANTASTIC total of £500 was raised for St. Hugh’s. Quethiock School PFA and the Parish Hall also raised funds. There was an amazing turnout and support for the event despite the monsoon conditions.
