Cringleford Primary School helps to launch scheme raising awareness of grief in schools

Cringleford Primary School has helped to launch a new scheme for a Norfolk-based charity, Nelson's Journey, that supports children and young people through bereavement. The scheme aims to raise awareness of grief in school. Our local church school became the first 'School Friend of Nelson's Journey' following the death of a pupil in 2023. The scheme recognises schools that provide safe spaces for bereaved children, in addition to activities and staff training.

Revd Graham WIlkins, Rector of Cringleford, said, 'We know that sometimes things can be really tough and we all need a little help in the most difficult of times. That is why we are really pleased to see Cringleford Primary being involved in this project to help children who have faced bereavement'.
