After this we will be taking a break for December.

Meditation has become a regular and enriching part of our community life. Each first and third Wednesday at 6pm, we gather to quieten our minds and create space for God to work within us. Whether you are an experienced meditator or simply curious, we warmly welcome you to join us on this journey.

We believe that meditation is a skill that can be developed over time, much like prayer. It’s an opportunity to intentionally step away from the noise of daily life and enter a state of peaceful awareness. In this silence, we can listen for God’s guidance and deepen our spiritual connection. It is a time to simply "be" with God, without the need for words or specific requests.

Our sessions are usually around 30 minutes and to help you feel more comfortable during the session, we suggest bringing a cushion for the pews.

We look forward to seeing you there.

All Souls Service

Venue
Plumstead: St Michael
Address
Church Street Plumstead Near Holt NR11 7LG, NR11 7LG, United Kingdom

All Souls is a tender and reflective time in the church year when we remember before God those we love but see no longer. It is a moment to pause, to give thanks for their lives, and to bring our grief, our memories, and our hope into God’s presence.

All who have recently been bereaved are especially welcome to this quiet service of prayer and contemplation. Names of loved ones can be read aloud as part of the service, and candles may be lit in their memory — simple yet profound acts that help us honour them and entrust them to God’s eternal care.

Whether your loss is recent or from many years ago, this gentle service offers space for reflection, comfort, and peace. In the stillness of worship, we remember together that God holds us, and those we love, in unfailing love and light.

Eucharist

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
Barningham Winter: St Mary the Virgin
Address
Barningham Park Matlaske Norwich, NR11 7HY, United Kingdom

You are warmly invited to our Sunday morning service — a time of song, prayer, reflection, and shared worship. This is a Eucharist (or Holy Communion) service, where we remember and give thanks for the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Whether you’ve been to church many times before or this is your very first visit, you’ll be made to feel welcome. There’s no dress code and no expectations — just come as you are.

The service includes hymns (songs), readings from the Bible, a short talk, and the sharing of bread and wine (or a blessing if you prefer not to receive communion). Children are very welcome — we’re used to a bit of noise and movement, and there’s space for them to feel comfortable.

After the service, we’d love you to stay for light refreshments, a biscuit, and a chat. It’s a great way to meet others and find out more if you’re curious.

Barningham Winter Church is a place for everyone — wherever you are on your journey of faith (or even if you’re just wondering what it’s all about), you are welcome here.
