St.Mary's, Cadgwith

St Mary's Church is situated on the footpath which descends from the public car park down into the small fishing village of Cadgwith. This tiny metal building was erected in 1895 as a mission church for the village fishermen. It is a chapel of ease to St Rumon, the parish church of Ruan Minor.

St.Mary's Church, Cadgwith is known as a Festival Church - there are no regular services but special services are held throughout the year, either at 3pm or 6pm, depending on the time of year.

Safeguarding

Our parish of St.Ruan with St.Grade is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Truro’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Ann Bradbury (St.Wynwallow Churchwarden) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Andy Earl, Head of Safeguarding - Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, 01872 274351 or the Rural Dean, Revd Heidi Huntley 01326 334370. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
