A quiet service to remember the children we have loved and lost, no matter how long ago, how old they were or how they died, including miscarriage and termination. You are also welcome if you have given up your child for adoption.

Not just for Mums. Dads, grandparents, godparents all welcome but we would suggest that children are left in the care of others to allow us to focus on our own thoughts and feelings.

We will hold an additional service at another date for those experiencing fertility loss but you are very welcome to come.

St Mary's, Greenham

St Mary’s is the Parish Church for Greenham, with about 100 members from a wide range of ages and backgrounds, united by our faith in Christ even though we are different in so many other ways.   Each Sunday we meet to encounter God together, worshipping with worship songs, bible teaching and praying for one another. You would be most welcome to join us.

We would be delighted to celebrate life's events with you, the big ones like weddings and baptisms, the sad ones like funerals and memorials and others such as starting a new job or school, whatever is going on for you,  in our beautiful Victorian Grade II listed building.

We offer pastoral support whether you share our faith or not and would love to hear from you if that's what you need.  If you would like to know more about our faith, or explore your spirituality then we do that too!  Just get in touch.

​Our modern Church Centre building adjacent to the church is available for bookings. It has a large hall with facilities and rooms upstairs.

Reporting Abuse

What to do if you have a safeguarding concern.

If you have information about a safeguarding situation where a child or adult is in immediate danger, or requires immediate medical attention, call emergency services on 999.

If you do not think there is a risk of immediate harm, you should still speak to an official about your concern as soon as possible.
​
The Diocesan safeguarding team are committed to responding to safeguarding concerns, providing advice if you are not sure what to do, and supporting survivors in an efficient and effective way. We are not however able to offer an emergency or 24-hour response. Your Parish Safeguarding Officer is also a local first point of contact for reporting safeguarding concerns.

If you are concerned that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm you should approach your local Children’s Social Care or Adult’s Social Care department.
​
A referral to the Diocesan Safeguarding Team must be made about any case where a child or vulnerable adult appears to be at risk or where an adult appears to present a risk. They must also be informed straight away of any safeguarding concerns involving a Church Officer. A ‘Church Officer’ is anyone appointed/elected by or on behalf of the Church to a post or role, whether they are ordained or lay, paid or unpaid.
