New Year, New Benefice A Happy New Year to all and the latest news; that St Chad’s Church Longford and Christ Church Long Lane officially joined the Kirk Langley benefice on 1st January 2024. The benefice comprises the churches of Longford, Long Lane, Kirk Langley, Mackworth and Muggington, with Kedleston and Halter Devil chapel. A ‘Big Sing’ event will be held in the near future, for the whole benefice to celebrate the occasion, and a date and venue are to be agreed.

News on Vicar vacancy The vacancy notice has now been compiled, with contributions from all the churches in the Kirk Langley benefice, and forwarded to the diocese for final editing before the vacancy is advertised.
