 Online Services in the Churn Benefice

Online services take place at 10.30 am on every Sunday. These services started when our church buildings were closed during COVID. It proved to be very popular with those who cannot attend regular in-person worship so we are continuing! The services are interactive with several people participating and there is an opportunity to talk to others for 30 minutes before the service and after the service. Taizé prayer service

Come and sit a while with Bible readings, silence and singing. It is easy to learn Taizé chants as they are repeated again and again, using just a few words. These chants can penetrate our whole being, becoming a way of listening to God. You are very welcome to join us for our service. You are more than welcome to sit and listen if you don't want to join in the singing.

A little about the Taizé Community:
The Taizé Community in the village of Taizé, in the Burgundy region of France, started by Brother Roger Schütz, welcomes people from all denominations and cultures, whether they have a Christian faith or not. They come from all around the world responding to an invitation to ‘search for communion with God through community prayer, song, silence, personal reflection and sharing’. The Taizé Community is a sign of hope in a divided world and its spirituality has brought new life to Christian churches throughout the world.
