Values

Here at HTL we have a number of values that form the DNA of who we are and what you’re likely to experience in our life together.

We believe that all that we do is a response of worship to the gospel message of God’s powerful mercy, love and grace in Jesus and the salvation he has given to us through his death the cross and resurrection that calls for a whole life given over to his Lordship.

This worship finds it’s form and framework through the authority of the Bible, by which God speaks to us and reveals his nature, will and ways so that we can be Jesus’s disciples in today’s culture and society.

This is empowered by the work of the Holy Spirit, who works in us to transform us in Christlikeness, and through us to witnesses Jesus to the world, enabled through spiritual gifts, miraculous works and empowered mission.

This mission is primarily to bring the gospel to all as the only means of salvation and the desperate need to repent from sin and be saved to eternal life through Jesus.

Not only this, but the whole world is impacted by the gospel, and through the power of the Spirit we seek to see unjust systems and structures to be transformed through the justice & mercy of God that brings wholeness of life to the marginalised and suffering.

This all finds its pinnacle in the cooperate life of the church, a foretaste of heaven on earth, in which we see all peoples reconciled as one in both diversity and unity, worshiping the same saviour with unique ethnic, racial and cultural distinctives that complement and complete each other in the family of God.

We happily partner with our friends at the Evangelical Alliance (EA), New Wine, CPAS, and CEEC in their vision and values. Do have a look at their statements on the above linked pages.
