Leicester: St Mary de Castro

St Mary de Castro is a Church of England Parish Church that worships in the Catholic tradition. Central to our community life is the celebration of the Eucharist. Our Liturgy is traditional both in Words and Music.

We are part of the Diocese of Leicester and are under the Spiritual Direction and Guidance of Luke, Bishop of Richborough.

We do not have a resident Parish Priest but are blest to have a group of clergy who officiate at our services. This follows in the founding tradition of the Parish and our designation as a Collegiate Church.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Leicester: St Mary de Castro is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Leicester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [Cheryl Utecht. Email: [email protected]]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services
