Easter Egg Trail on 19th April

Easter Church_news

We had an amazing time running our Easter Egg Trail on 19th April, telling the Easter story to over 300 people through animals and activities. Thank you to absolutely everyone who came, all the helpers and for all the support and encouragement we have received since.

Our trail consisted of 5 stations and at each station, an item was collected to be used at the end of the trail to make an Easter Garden. The trail started with donkeys to stroke and groom, just as Holy week started with Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey! Next was St Mary's church where hot cross buns were eaten and sticks were foraged to make a cross. Each child then got a rock to paint (to go in front of their tomb) before moving on to the scout hut to toast a marshmallow and collect a candle symbolising Jesus as the light of the world. 5 day old ducklings concluded the trail at our 'new life' stop for cuddles and strokes!
