Federico Terzi (b.1994) works is organist at the Basilica Notre-Dame in Geneva and as graduate assistant of musicology at the University of Lausanne.
He studied organ at the Como Conservatoire with Enrico Viccardi and then went on to deepen his knowledge of Baroque organ repertoire with Lorenzo Ghielmi at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan and then at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva with Alessio Corti. Federico also holds a master’s degree in modern philology from the Catholic University of Milan. Currently, he is working on a PhD dissertation about the organ and piano music of Vincenzo Petrali (1830-1889).
Federico’s activity as an organist has led him to play in Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, and England, while his musicological works have been published in Italy, Switzerland and United States.
He was organ scholar of the Anglican church of Geneva (Holy Trinity Church) between 2018 and 2020 and has has been organist at Basilica Notre-Dame since 2019. His recordings include music by Brahms (complete works for organ), J S Bach and J G Walther.
