Palm Sunday Service

Join us for our Palm Sunday service as we mark the beginning of Holy Week and remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.

Together we will hear the Gospel story, reflect on its meaning for us today, and begin the journey towards the hope and joy of Easter.

Maundy Thursday Service – Washing of Hands

Join us for our Maundy Thursday service as we remember Jesus sharing the Last Supper with his disciples and his commandment to love and serve one another.

During the service there will be an opportunity to take part in the symbolic washing of hands, recalling Jesus washing the feet of his disciples as a sign of humility and service.

This reflective service helps us prepare for the events of Good Friday and the joy of Easter.

Good Friday – An Hour at the Cross

Join us for a reflective service on Good Friday as we remember the crucifixion of Jesus.

During “An Hour at the Cross” we will hear the story of the Passion, pray together, and spend time in quiet reflection as we mark this solemn day in the Christian calendar.

All are welcome to attend as we pause to remember Christ’s sacrifice and prepare for the joy of Easter.

Easter Dawn Service – 7.00am

Celebrate the joy of Easter morning with our Easter Dawn Service at 7.00am.

As the day begins, we gather to rejoice in the good news of the resurrection and proclaim with joy: Christ is risen!

This uplifting early morning service marks the beginning of our Easter celebrations and reminds us of the hope and new life found in Jesus.

All are warmly welcome to join us.

Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) / AGM – 2026

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) for St John’s the Evangelist, Oulton with Woodlesford will take place in church.

This is an important meeting in the life of the parish where we review the past year, celebrate what God has been doing in our church community, and look ahead to the year to come.

The meeting will include:

• Reports on church life and activities
• Election of Churchwardens and PCC members
• Opportunities to hear about the ministry and mission of St John’s

All members of the Electoral Roll are warmly encouraged to attend and take part.
