Palm Sunday - Blessing of Crosses, Procession and Sung Holy Communion

Occurring
for 1 hour, 15 mins
Venue
Church of the Ascension Hilversum
Address
Ascension Anglican Church Boomberglaan 6 Hilversum, 1217RR, Netherlands

Holy Week begins with this special service. We hear of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, then process singing All glory, laud and honour and move to the hearing of the Passion of our Lord according to St Matthew. We hear of the fickleness of the crowds and reflect on the fickleness of our own hearts when our faith is challenged by our life and our love. We conclude with receiving the Holy Communion of Christ's Body and Blood to strengthen our weak wills and continue to walk with Jesus through Holy Week to the Cross on Friday and his glorious Resurrection on Easter.

Church of the Ascension Hilversum

We are a new Church of England church plant in Hilversum.  If you are simply curious, or you desire to worship God, are seeking  friendship, encouragement and strength in the journey of faith, we believe Jesus is calling you to "Come and see!"  We worship in the classical Anglican High Church tradition.  We desire to ascend, as by steps, into the life of God.  Jesus makes this possible by His Words and Sacraments.
