This Sunday we're heading out on our next community walk! We'll start at Woolstone.
Leaving at 10.30am we'll head along the river and then end up at Willen Lake Coffee Shop. It's only a half hour walk and the paths are all accessible. There's also a slightly shorter route back to the cars too after we're done - bonus. We'd love to see you and we'd love you to consider inviting a few others to come and join us to. Perhaps a neighbour or a friend/family from the school run. St. Joe's exists to share the good news of Jesus to Newton Leys and beyond and part of that is simply creating community that allows connection to go deeper. These walks are awesome ways to do just that.

If you don't feel like you can do the walk, please do still come and join us at Willen Lake Coffee Shop from 11am. If you're there before us, why not pop upstairs and save us a table or two!

The weather forecast is a little drizzly, but doesn't look too bad. So grab a waterproof or an umbrella and come along for the laughs. Can't wait to hang out with you all.

St Joe's, Newton Leys

Hello, and welcome to St Joe's!  So, who are we…?

Informally: we are a “Church for those who don't ‘do church’. An extended family of sorts - in & out of each others homes.”

Formally: St Joseph’s (Church of England) church was formed in April 2017 to serve the new-build housing area known as Newton Leys, to the south of Bletchley and Milton Keynes. The church was started with the help and support of St Mary’s Parish Church in Bletchley. St Joe’s is officially recognised by the Anglican Oxford Diocese but continues, at the moment, to ‘come under’ the organisational and charitable status of St Mary’s Church.

How would we describe ourselves? A local, community church? Yes!  A new expression of church? Yes! A church for those who don't usually do church, or who have become a bit disillusioned with church? Yes!

We focus on a ‘missional model’, to informally but strategically share Jesus, life and community with each other - and anyone who wants to take this faith-journey with us. We meet two or three times during the month at the local primary school for Sunday morning services, and on other Sundays, and at other times, we organise a range of activities and events that fulfil and enhance our mission and calling.
