About Us
We are a family church who welcome everyone. We meet on a Sunday afternoon in the lounge area of St Philip's Community Centre where we learn about Jesus and have lively music, prayers, videos and children's activities.
Once a month we have 'The Sanctuary' where we bring together the teaching of mindfulness with prayers of healing and passages from the Bible. It is a place to find peace, inner healing and strength from God.
Together with Trinity Baptist Church we put on 'Messy Church' once a month at Radcliffe Primary School, a fun and lively time where we learn about Jesus and have lots of crafts, singing, a video & quiz and then a party tea.
We also put on CAP Money courses, a simple but life-changing course to help people make the most of their money. We also love to meet together to pray and worship, and to go out for a pizza. Everyone is welcome, and we are always looking for people to come along and help out.
Emmanuel Community began meeting together in January 2020. We are an Anglican Church Plant, part of the Manchester Antioch Network. Our Church is a Fresh Expression of Church, this means that we hold all the Anglican beliefs, and do all the same things, but we may do things in a different way. This is because we try to make church accessible for those who may not have a church background. We use everyday language and we are very informal in our worship style. We have lively modern Christian music, we have quizzes and fun videos, so the whole family can learn about Jesus together in an enjoyable way. Our heart is to make church accessible, fun and interesting to everyone.
You are very welcome to come along on a Sunday afternoon. We begin with serving hot drinks and chocolate biscuits, so you are always guaranteed a warm welcome!
