If you have experienced abuse — whether recently or in the past — we want you to know that you will be listened to and taken seriously.
Abuse can happen in many settings, including within churches. If something has happened to you, or if you feel unsafe, you are not alone and support is available.
You may speak to someone in our parish, contact the Diocese directly, or seek help from an independent organisation.

What Happens if You Share a Concern
If you share a safeguarding concern with us:
You will be listened to carefully and respectfully.
Your concerns will be taken seriously.
We may need to share information with safeguarding professionals if someone is at risk of harm.
The Diocesan Safeguarding Team may become involved to ensure the matter is handled safely and appropriately.
We will try to explain what is happening and help you access support where needed.
