What Happens if You Share a Concern

If you share a safeguarding concern with us:

• You will be listened to carefully and respectfully.

• Your concerns will be taken seriously.

• We may need to share information with safeguarding professionals if someone is at risk of harm.

• The Diocesan Safeguarding Team may become involved to ensure the matter is handled safely and appropriately.

We will try to explain what is happening and help you access support where needed.

Promoting a Safer Church – House of Bishops 2017

This Policy Statement on Safeguarding in the Church was adopted by The Parish of Catterick with Tunstall at a Parochial Church Council meeting held on 28 May 2019.

Each person who works within this church agrees to abide by these recommendations and the guidelines established by this church.
