Church Treasurer, David Bottoms, was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and has been through two rounds of surgery, three rounds of radiotherapy and a year long course of a targeted therapy drug. This is his continuing story."During the last four years I became treasurer for Hutton Magna St Mary's and, having had to retire from my work as a project manager, I have found great satisfaction in starting a project to fund badly needed repairs to our beautiful old church. It has kept me occupied and focussed on doing something positive for our small local community. The importance of a community ethos has been emphasised by the COVID pandemic"David has used the love and support from friends, family and the local community to embark on a personal fundraising campaign.
