Welcome to St James Burton Lazars

Our congregation is a warm and welcoming community, embracing both traditional and new types of services to explore the Gospel and its meaning.
Situated a mile South of Melton Mowbray on the A606, St James Church, Cross Lane, Burton Lazars LE14 2UH has served the village since the 11th Century and has historic links to the Knights of St Lazarus and the Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus.
Our historic church has all the modern facilities for comfortable services and events with modern, flexible use chairs, a kitchen and servery, a fully accessible toilet and a meeting room.
In addition to services every Sunday, we host activities for young and old alike.
