Holy Communion

Occurring
Monthly. Every Third Sunday at for 1 hour
Venue
Nether Broughton: St Mary the Virgin
Address
Church End Nether Broughton Melton Mowbray, LE14 3ET, United Kingdom

A service of Word and Sacrament, according to Common Worship, in which the Holy Scriptures are read, prayers are offered, and bread and wine are consecrated and received as the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Communion means, simply, 'togetherness' and this is a service to show the togetherness of Christians and God. The Last Supper was Jesus' last meal before he died and he shared two signs with his followers: bread as a symbol for his body being broken, and wine as a symbol for his blood being spilled when he was crucified. All are invited to join us for this lovely service.

Nether Broughton: St Mary the Virgin

St. Mary’s Church has been the focus of Christian worship in this village since the 13th Century. The ancient building is set in a beautiful churchyard. It continues to provide a place for spiritual refreshment and reflection, through its regular services and celebration of important life events. You can be assured of a warm welcome, whether or not you are a regular churchgoer. We would be delighted to see you!
