St Peter and St Paul, Great Bowden

Welcome to St Peter and St Paul in the heart of Great Bowden.

We believe God made and loves us just as we are. We want to be an inclusive church, which welcomes and celebrates everyone in all our diversity. A church where everyone feels safe to be themselves, and where we actively stand up against discrimination on the grounds of disability, race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, neurodiversity, age, faith, or financial means. We’re not there yet, but we’re trying actively to make St Peter and St Paul’s a community that everyone can access and where everyone belongs.

Whilst we are not permitted to marry same sex couples in church, the PCC has agreed the use of prayers of love and faith to celebrate and bless couples in faithful same-sex relationships. Please speak to the vicar if you would like to know more. We affirm the ministry of women, including ordained ministry, and encourage everyone in our community to get involved in the life of our church. We still have a lot to learn, but we hope that together we can grow into the likeness of Christ.
