Sunday 15th June 2025
This Sunday we find ourselves standing at the meeting point of the mysterious and the domestic: Trinity Sunday and Father’s Day. One draws our gaze to the eternal nature of God; the other to the ordinary, beautiful and sometimes complicated gift of fatherhood.
Trinity Sunday is unlike any other in the Church calendar. It doesn’t commemorate a single event but points us to the very heart of who God is—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Not a riddle to be solved, but a relationship into which we are drawn.
And on Father’s Day, we give thanks for those who have nurtured, guided, and loved us. For some, this day brings warmth and gratitude; for others, it may stir difficult memories or longings. Yet in all things, we remember the God whose love is steadfast and whose Spirit brings peace and hope.
Revd. Richard will be leading and preaching from Romans 5:1–5, a passage full of quiet assurance—that in Christ, we are given peace, and through the Spirit, a hope that does not disappoint.
