Sunday 3rd August 2025
Dear Church Family,
We are not very good at leaving things blank. We fill the diary, the garage, the conversation—sometimes even our prayers—with more. But this week, Jesus invites us to pause. In Luke 12:13–21, we meet a man who fills every inch of his story with plans, possessions, and a monologue to himself. He speaks to his own soul, as if it were a subordinate, and forgets the one voice that matters most.
Paul, writing to the Colossians (3:1–11), reminds us that our true life isn’t something we can build, store, or manage—it is hidden with Christ in God. And that changes everything.
We’ll be exploring what it means to make space—real, holy space—in our thinking, our living, and even our church planning. Not to be idle, but to be ready. Not to be careless, but to be free.
Come this Sunday with open hands, and perhaps invite someone who needs to hear that life is more than a barn full of plans.
