Sunday 24th August & Sunday 31st August 2025
Dear friends,
This Sunday we are honoured to welcome Rt. Revd Mary Gregory, Bishop of Reading, who will be presiding at Communion and leading a ribbon-cutting ceremony for our newly installed accessibility handrails.
And yes—you read that correctly. Ribbon. Handrails. Ceremony.
It may seem a small thing, but these rails do holy work. They steady the steps of the weary, widen the welcome of the church, and quietly preach the Gospel to anyone who’s ever wondered if they belong. Revd Mark Nam will be preaching on exactly that—how the Gospel takes flesh not just in stained glass and sermons, but in metal, movement, and moments of compassion.
Then next Sunday, Revd Suzanne continues our journey through Luke, where Jesus rethinks the seating plan at a dinner party—and in the kingdom of heaven. Come for a parable about humility, honour, and how grace has a habit of rearranging the room.
So do join us. Bring someone. Everyone needs a steadying hand now and then.
With every blessing,
