Sunday 26th October & Sunday 2nd November

Dear friends,

Over the next two Sundays, we celebrate two great treasures of our faith—the Word of God and the People of God.

This Sunday is Bible Sunday, when we give thanks for the living Word that has shaped and sustained generations. Revd. Richard Christopher will be preaching from Hebrews 1:1–13 and John 1:1–5, 14—those majestic passages that remind us that God, who once spoke through the prophets, has now spoken to us through His Son, the Word made flesh. Scripture is no relic on a shelf; it is light and life, truth with a pulse. It comforts the weary, unsettles the comfortable, and still dares to speak into our noisy world today.

The following week is All Saints Sunday, when Revd. Mark Nam will be preaching. It’s a feast not of the flawless, but of the faithful. From Daniel’s beasts rising from the sea to Jesus’ blessings on the poor and the weeping, we’re reminded that sainthood is not perfection but perseverance. The saints we honour aren’t trapped in stained glass but alive in those who prayed through doubt, forgave when it hurt, and simply refused to give up. So come—bring your Bible, your faith, and perhaps a friend—as together we listen for God’s Word and give thanks for His saints.

With every blessing, Mark
