Sunday 23rd November 2025

This Sunday we reach the grand finale of the Church year — Christ the King Sunday — when we lift our eyes from the manger and the cross to behold Jesus enthroned as Lord over all. It’s a day to remember that the One who wore a crown of thorns now reigns with a crown of glory.

At our 10.00am service, Revd. Richard will be exploring Luke 23: 33–43, that moving scene at Calvary where Jesus, even in agony, offers mercy to the repentant thief beside him. It is a paradox of kingship unlike any the world has known: power revealed through compassion, victory through sacrifice, and sovereignty through love.

As the Church’s year draws to a close, we are reminded that all our stories — the sorrows and the joys, the triumphs and the tears — find their meaning in Christ, our King. Do come and join us as we worship him who reigns not from a palace, but from a cross, and whose kingdom has no end.

Every blessing,

Mark
