St Mary’s church is set in a small village parish with a strong farming emphasis. Our church is keen to embrace new ideas that will bring more of the village to pray and give thanks. The majority of those who come to church are from the immediate village and of an older age group. We do have a growing group of young families who come to church and we hold regular family services throughout the year. We host a popular bluebell walk in the Spring for the Benefice children and hold two fundraising events annually: the Hales Fete and the Hales Fun Ride. Although our average congregation is small, we love our singing and make up for size with our voices! We join together for our Evensong Service on the first Sunday of the month.
