Join us for free Easter activities and hot cross buns on the canal towpath beside the Newcastle Road bridge over teh Shropshire Union Canal.

Join us as we begin Holy Week and the journey to Easter Day. Services at 9.00am and 10.30am, with a procession after the 10.30am service from the church to the Cheshire Street War Memorial.

A Maundy Thursday service is a time when people meet together to re-enact the things that Jesus did at the Last Supper.

Broken bread and wine are shared in Holy Communion to remember the meal that Jesus shared with his disciples.

Christians from around the town will gather at Market Drayton Methodist Church for a short service at 10.00am, before we walk together through town and hold a service outside the Town Hall at 10.40am. At 2.00pm there will be a quiet, reflective service at St Mary's, as we mark the Last Hour at The Cross, with readings from the Bible. In the evening there is a Tenebrae Service - a service of darkness and shadows, reflecting on the events of Jesus death - as we look forward in anticipation and hope to Easter day.

All our Easter services are posted below, culminating in our celebrations on Easter morning, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. For early birds there is a Sunrise service in the churchyard at 6.15am! Then a traditional Book of Common Prayer Communion service at 9.00am and a more contemporary Communion Service, with some activities for children, at 10.30am. All are welcome.
